Jilted bride saved from plunge
A bride dumped by her fiance is dramatically rescued as she threatens to jump from a high rise building in her wedding dress. Lifeline 13 11 14.
A jilted bride-to-be tried to throw herself from a seven-storey building in China after her boyfriend called off their wedding.
The 22-year-old college student, named only as Miss Li, put on her wedding gown before stepping through the window of the residential building in Changchun, eastern China.
But before she plunged to almost certain death, care worker Guo Zhongfan caught her by the neck and held her as others rushed to help pull her to safety, MSNBC reported.

The Reuters newsagency released astonishing images of the dramatic scenes as the woman dangled 25 metres above the ground, with watching neighbours leaning out of their windows.
One man climbed out of a window below the woman and tried to support her weight with his hands, before she was hauled back inside.
Local TV reported that Miss Li climbed on to the ledge and sobbed for an hour before police arrived.

Reuters reported that the woman lived on the fourth floor of the building but made her way to another apartment upstairs.
After the amazing rescue, a crowd on the street applauded Mr Guo.
"I did what anyone would have done," he said.

Miss Li was later taken to hospital.
